A long time in the making

So I realize I have not posted in almost 2 years. I guess my life has been extremely busy.
Well let's see, in the past two years....
Well Brian deployed in early 2013, he was gone for 9months. In that time, I started going to school to become an elementary teacher. Previously I had worked at an elementary school and I found that I absolutely loved it.
I went to Texas in the summer of 2013, meeting up with my mom and our family in Texas. I really miss everyone and especially my mom. I really needed that mini vacation.
Brian returned in late 2013 and life has slowly worked back to normalcy. It was a little hard at first when he came back, trying to get back into the groove of normal life.
Now it is summer 2014 and I'm still working on my AA in elementary education. I am almost done with that degree, and then I plan to transfer to Kansas State University. I really look forward to the next couple of years.
It doesn't seem like we will be moving from Kansas anytime soon. I quite enjoy it here.
Anyway, I plan on keeping this blog up to date, now that I have a mobile app for Blogger.

Kansas

SO, Kansas has been fairly kind to this Florida girl. It snowed a couple of times, which was awesome!! And the weather has been fairly warm, about 70 ish degrees to 80. But, this weekend all hell wants to break loose. Seems all of Kansas is under a tornado watch. And this is no joke. Right now it is 3pm and the winds are blowing like crazy. I'm used to the Kansas wind, but this is different. I'm trying not to freak out for Caleb's sake. But the plan is to tough it out at home. We are going to be sleeping in the guest bedroom downstairs and if, for some reason, the warning signal goes off, we have time to make it to either the closet under the stairs or the downstairs bathroom!! 


I will keep everyone up to date..but damn this Kansas weather!!

Way Too Long

Wow. It has been way too long since I have updated. Anyway!!! I started a job recently, part time working 9:30-4 monday thru friday!! Perfect! And I also started going to school to get my Paralegal certification. HMM.. what else? oh. I have become a good cook, which if you know me, is surprising. But I have cooked some pretty good stuff.. 


I will try to update more..Because it seems my life is 1000 times more interesting.

Kansas!!!!

So, it's been a long time since I updated. And since that time I have moved to Kansas. It is absolutely gorgeous here. There are rolling hills as far as the eye can see. We moved to a college town. Kansas State University. This place bleeds purple. I still have my Gators decal on the back of my car.

I've met all of the other army wives minus Candace. Everyone is super sweet and their kids are gorgeous. I can't wait to see how the next couple of years goes. Brian will be gone multiple times during the year, so these girls are my lifeline.

Job hunting is going slow. I've filled out applications for everywhere. But I actually have a job interview coming up this Tuesday for a bank position. So, fingers crossed. It would work out perfectly for me as far as Caleb is concerned. 

I will try to update more now that I am here. I've just been so busy. I miss everyone in Florida!!!

Long Time!!

Ah! It's been so long since I have been on here updating everyone. So tomorrow (11/9/11) will be exactly 39 days until I see my husband!! I am so excited. The plan is to leave Florida on the 21st and hit up Virginia and Tennessee. I can't wait to meet Brian's parents and his family and friends.


I also just can't wait to be in our home. How exciting is that?!?!


Caleb got picked for Terrific Kid for the month of November. I am so proud of him. He is a great kid and I couldn't ask for a more well behaved perfect child. I truly am blessed.


While I am waiting to move, I am searching for a job in Kansas and I am trying to sell a couple of things but am having no luck. I tried Craigslist and a selling page that Samantha mentioned..but dang..not one bite.. hmm any ideas?

Doctors!!

So, I went to the surgeon's today. He basically told me that since I have no family history of breast cancer and my age that it is most likely just a fibroid type thing in my breast. My options were to either get it taken out, which he said that if he did that for every fibroid he would be doing surgeries all the time, or if I can live with it and it doesn't cause pain, to just go in for a biopsy. Well, since it isn't getting bigger and it doesn't cause me any pain, I opted to just go get it biopsied. Now since it is tiny they have to do an ultrasound to biopsy it. Cool sounds great to me. So, I will be at the hospital in the ultrasound room on Friday. Glad everything is going by so fast. He said the results should return within a week or so.. Relief!!!

Monday!!!

    Mondays are never good, but today topped the cake.
    First, my alarm didn't go off and Caleb and I woke up at 7:25. That is normally the time I leave the house to take him to school. Needless to say, we made it to class just in time.
   Second, I went to the doctor to get a pap smear. Yay!! Not. Everything went normal, except, she did a breast exam and noticed I had a small hard lump. She said it wasn't attached and was actually moving around. But she wants to schedule an ultrasound just in case. I will admit, I am a little nervous. But I believe that God will watch over me. They always say that if things happen to you in life, they usually are meant to be. Meant to teach you something. Grow to be a bigger better person. Let's hope it's true.


  But I did do something fun today. I got to shop for Samantha's lingerie party!! I can't wait for Friday and hopefully I will be able to go to the Gator game on Saturday.
